I have OpenVPN running on OSX with Tunnelblick. To get all the traffic go through the VPN connection, I added the following to my OpenVPN server's configuration: push 'redirect-gateway def1' OpenVPN's (version 2.1) documentation defines 'def1' as follows. Tunnelblick will ask if you want to add for All users, or just your user. Enter your computer Admin password to allow the configuration file to be added. Click the Tunnelblick icon in the Menu bar to connect; Enter your Username and password when prompted. If updating to the latest stable or beta version of Tunnelblick does not fix the problem, please provide the output from the following command in Terminal: ls -l@ed /tmp; ls -l@ed /private/tmp See System Folder Security for more information about this type of problem.
Tunnelblick is an OpenVPN client for macOS (OS X) to connect to the Big Data Lab VPN and the Cyber Range VPN. This guide shows you how to install Tunnelblick and connect to the Big Data Lab VPN.

Download and install an OpenVPN client, such as TunnelBlick. Download the VPN profile for the gateway. This can be done from the point-to-site configuration tab in the Azure portal, or by using 'New-AzVpnClientConfiguration' in PowerShell. Unzip the profile. Open the vpnconfig.ovpn configuration file from the OpenVPN folder in a text editor.
